The New Facebook Groups: All You Need To Know.

I’ve heard conflicting opinions about the use of Facebook as a librarian/teacher/boss. Some say that high school and college students love it when their teacher or library is on Facebook, since it is their information and contact medium of choice. Others say that students don’t like it, because Facebook is too “personal” of a space for school or work interactions. I’m wondering how the new Groups will change this.

I like the multiple chat feature, and that you can email the group as a whole. I haven’t created any groups yet, but I may experiment in the near future.

What do you think? Do you think you could use this feature, either for personal or professional reasons?
